Los Angeles Laker center Andrew Bynum left the game Friday night after straining his left Achilles tendon. The injury will put him out indefinitely and is a very ominous sign for the Lakers who were on a four-game winning streak going into Friday. This is just another chapter in Bynum's injury struggles this season, with this being his 4th.
In the last four games Bynum has been averaging 20 points 10.3 rebounds and 2 blocks. The Laker offense is going to struggle without the big body of Andrew Bynum in the post. This injury will most likely see an uptick in minutes for Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. Although he will likely be back within the next couple weeks, this doesn't pose a good sign for the ailing Lakers.
With Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and now Andrew Bynum going down with different injuries the Lakers don't seem to be the infallible group that won the championship last year.
