Cuban phenom pitcher Aroldis Chapman got his first opportunity to silence any critics on Monday when he faced off against the Kansas City Royals in exhibition play.
Chapman pitched two scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts and allowed only one hit to his first opponent and fellow national, Brayan Pena. As his pitching progressed, so to did his control and his speed. Chapman was clocked as high as 100 mph by scouts. The Reds won the game 14-5 and brought their Record to 2-1.
