Eagles Trade WR Brown to Tampa Bay

Football Share
The Philadelphia Eagles traded wide receiver Reggie Brown to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an undisclosed draft pick in 2011. Several media outlets reported that it will be a sixth-round pick.

After the Eagles released wide receiver Hank Baskett last September, Brown admitted he was torn about not being cut. His playing time then ended in Philadelphia: he went from being a starter to being inactive on game days.

Brown was selected in the second round of the 2005 draft and led the Eagles in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2006. He played steadily in 2007, but 2008 marked the end for Brown. He suffered a hamstring injury during the preseason, missed the first two games of the regular season and never regained his starting spot. He eventually became a healthy scratch in four of the final eight games, including the NFC championship game.

Brown finished last season with nine catches for 155 yards. In five years, he has 177 receptions for 2,574 yards and 17 touchdowns.
