The final NCAA men's basketball rankings were released Monday and Kansas reclaimed the number one spot. The Jayhawks moved up one spot after defeating then number five Kansas State last week to finish 29-2 overall and 15-1 in the Big 12.
Kentucky (29-2) also jumped up one spot to number two. Syracuse (28-3) dropped two spots to number three after losing to Louisville on Saturday. Duke (29-2) remains at number four despite losing to Maryland last week. The Boilermakers (26-4) moved up one spot to number five.
The rest of the top 10 is filled out by West Virginia (24-6), Ohio State (24-7), New Mexico (28-3), Kansas State (24-6) and Villanova (24-6).
Michigan State (24-7) starts off the second group of 10 followed by Butler (27-4), Tennessee (23-7), Gonzaga (26-5), BYU (28-4), Pittsburgh (24-7), Temple (26-5), Wisconsin (23-7), Maryland (23-7) and Baylor (24-6).
UTEP (24-5), Georgetown (20-9), Vanderbilt (23-7), Texas A&M (22-8) and Northern Iowa (28-4) round out the Top 25.
Texas, a former number one for a brief period in January, fell out of the Top 25 completely.
