Everton Hands Loss to Hull City

With Hull City threatened for relegation, a loss was something they didn't need on Sunday. What a loss they would get, though. Everton came out looking for blood in this match and won to the tune of 5-1. Goals from Mikel Arteta, Landon Donovan, Jack Rodwell, and an own goal from Richard Garcia helped to see Hull City into 18th place in the Premier League.

Everton would get off to a quick lead through a 17th minute Mikel Arteta goal. Yakubu would miss a penalty for Everton in the 29th minute and a Hull City goal in the 32nd would put pressure on the Toffees. Arteta would put away the go-ahead goal in the 39th minute and his cross would lead the 51st minute own goal. Substitutes Donovan and Rodwell would get on the board late in the game and Everton cruised into 8th place.

Hull have some issues to figure out with the end of the season right around the corner, but Everton can be happy with another good league result.
