San Antonio Spurs' Guard Tony Parker Out Six Weeks
Advert
The San Antonio Spurs once again show signs of aging as their premier point guard, Tony Parker, is out for up to six weeks with a broken hand. He broke his fourth metacarpal. This will severely hamper the Spurs as he will most likely be out for the rest of the regular season.
Tony Parker is the team's 2nd leading scorer at 16.6 points per game, and he's also a leader of this team as the starting point guard. George Hill will be expected to fill this role for the Spurs now, and will have to do a good job of it considering San Antonio sits only in 7th place in the Western Conference. The Spurs are a much better team with Parker on the court, though, as they post a .620 winning percentage with him in the game.
This team is having to rely on older and older players in the form of Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili. It is only a matter of time before there is a changing of the guard in San Antonio and it will be upon them sooner than expected.
