Everton Pulls Upset on Manchester United

Advert
Soccer Share
Everton pulled a home upset today, beating Manchester United 3-1 at Goodison Park.

The goals came first from Manchester United through a great touch from Dimitar Berbatov in the 16th minute. Everton would strike right back though off a bullet of a shot from Diniyar Bilyaletdinov. His shot practically glued Manchester United keeper Edwin Van Der Sar to the ground. Late subs Dan Gosling and Jack Rodwell would both chip in with goals of their own in the 76th and 90th minute, respectively.

Everton is moving up the table quickly since January and have won 4 of their last 5 games in league, with 2 of those coming against table leaders Chelsea and Man U. Coach David Moyes has made a great loan in Landon Donovan and has been using wonderful tactics to beat these top teams.

Although Everton would have 5 different players booked in this match, they have been showing a renewed determination this late in the season and may be on pace for a 5th spot in league.
