The New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers played to a 106-113 Cavs' win, but Lebron was the real story of the night. Finishing the night with 47 points. 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals, the King reminded us how dangerous he can be in the spotlight.
James, at multiple points in this game, became a one man show and destroyed any Knicks' defender that challenged him. At one interval in the first half he scored 24 consecutive points including a half-court shot to end the first period. In 31 Cleveland possessions in the first half, James had 35 points and 6 assists. The Knicks have made it known they want Lebron in the offseason and have expiring contacts in the form of Larry Hughes, Al Harrington, and Darko Milicic to help them. Lebron is not going to leave Cleveland, though, unless an opportunity arises that he can't pass up, and the situation in New York isn't a friendly one this year. The Knicks own a 19-31 record as opposed to the Cavaliers' 41-11.
Lebron is one of the premier players in the league and with this game he solidifies himself as the 3rd highest scorer in the league. His all-around skills will be desired by every team with cap space this summer. That is if he chooses to opt out of his current deal.
