According to ESPN.com, talks intensified between Owens and the St Louis Rams as both parties are closer to agreeing on a contract. If the Rams get T.O., it will take pressure off the young wide receivers that the Rams have.
Also, it would give the first overall pick from the 2010 NFL Draft, Sam Bradford, a target to throw to. The Cincinnati Bengals also expressed interest in the Pro Bowler.
One source said the Rams have gotten very aggressive in their pursuit of Owens and it's possible that Owens will sign with the Rams or Bengals within the next 48 to 72 hours.
